You know what they say about rain on your wedding day? It is a sign of good luck that your marriage will last. We can thank Hindu traditions for this belief. A knot that becomes wet is extremely hard to untie – therefore, when you “tie the knot” on a rainy day, your marriage is supposedly just as hard to unravel! This may be an old saying, but I believe it is true for these two.

Kristin and Emily "tied the knot" and said I DO with a small, intimate ceremony with their immediate family at The Farm Gathering Place in Asheville, NC. Afterward, their closest friends and family joined them at a celebratory reception. The night was filled with laughter and fun, good drinks, and GREAT food. I could write an entirely separate blog about the AMAZING and unique food prepared in-house by The Farm (seriously the best brisket I have ever had).

We had the pleasure of spending time with Kristin and Emily the day before their ceremony with an impromptu couples session at our Airbnb on Bohicket Ridge in Canton, NC. This relaxed, lifestyle session was the perfect way to capture them in one of their favorite places. Kristin and Emily love the mountains and spend a lot of time in North Carolina, so choosing Asheville for their destination wedding was the natural choice.
